The Asko Bed and breakfast is provided with four rooms, simple but very comfortable. The rooms, each one characterized by a colour and furnished by ethnical imprinting, are dedicated to some of the children from the Asko orphanage which Antonio and Pierpaolo are mostly affectionate to. Rooms can be provided with two single beds or with one double, twin bed. One third child-bed can be added on request.
All rooms have air conditioning. Two rooms are furnished by their own bathroom; two rooms share another bathroom. A kitchen is exclusively dedicated to the bed and breakfast.
The Asko Bed and breakfast is situated in the middle of a 5000 square meters area, with the main villa, relax-corners, the orchard, olive-trees and a great Mediterranean garden. Parking is possible inside the park.
Guests may use the washing machine in the kitchen. We are provided with wireless Internet connection.
Pets are welcome!
Asko and Mebrat, our Labrador Retriever dogs, are absolutely mild, never aggressive. If necessary, however, they can be kept away from the Bed and breakfast.
English and French are fluently spoken.
Smoking is strictly forbidden inside the house.
The tasty breakfast, mainly based on foods locally produced or coming from international Fair Trade, is served in the pleasant, cosy large hall in the villa (where, in wintertime, a fireplace is happily working), or, in summertime, in the nice, shaded and flowered veranda. The main course is the Antonio’s hand-made jam-tart! Genuine delicacies in a peaceful, idyllic setting: just the best to start every single day of your holiday in wonderful Salento!
Bike lovers will find bicycles in order to plan tours all around the countryside (where cycle paths are provided). On request, guided tours in all the main cities and towns around can also be planned.
To reach the best “full immersion” in the local traditions, popular dances shows and even stages can be planned. Their job permitting Antonio and Pierpaolo will engage to lead you through all the Salento’s summer show and cultural events, and especially the world-famous, impressive “Notte della Taranta” in Melpignano!
And, the last but not the least, on request Antonio and Pierpaolo can also organize guided tours in the well-known “Santi Dimitri” wine vaults, where tasting and buying of local wines and olive-oil will be possible.
